Curt has trained extensively in Las Vegas, Nevada; most notably with former world class professional referee Richard Steele at his former gym: The Nevada Partners Center. Curt last trained there in 2002 as Mr. Steele was preparing to open his own gym at another location.
Curt has met and trained along many well known professional boxers and has met and trained with boxing trainers such as Ken Adams, Miguel Diaz, Tim Griffin (the brother of former light heavy weight champion Montel Griffin, has trained such fighters as Riddick Bowe and Mike McCallum), Kenny Croom (Wayne McCoulough's trainer), and Hedgeman Lewis, a former world title holder, is one of the most respected trainers in the business.
Curt has known former 1970's heavy weight contender Ron Lyle for several years. Curt has met several former world champions such as Kevin Kelly and Arthur Williams and is personal friends with former world super bantamweight champion Wayne "Pocket Rocket" McCullough. Curt has been to Wayne's home several times ands has watched several pro boxers spar at Wayne's home. Curt saw women's world title holder Laura Serrano go "toe to toe" with several men boxers at Wayne's home. She would tell them to not hold back before each round and is definitely a tough lady who did not back down and held her own. I was impressed with her tenacity and skills.
